What age groups do you teach?
Avery Suhay teaches students of all ages, from young beginners to adult learners. Lessons are tailored to each individual’s skill level and goals.

Do I need to own a cello to start lessons?
Not necessarily. While it’s ideal to have your own cello for consistent practice, Avery can provide guidance on renting or purchasing an instrument to suit your needs.

What should I bring to my first lesson?
For your first lesson, bring your cello (if you have one), a bow, and any sheet music or method books you’ve been using. If you’re starting fresh, Avery will recommend materials to get you started.

Where are lessons held?
Lessons are conducted in Avery’s private home studio in the city of Chesapeake, VA. The studio is a welcoming and focused space, fully equipped for a productive learning experience.

What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations should be made at least 24 hours in advance. Missed lessons without notice may not be rescheduled. Please contact Avery directly if you need to reschedule.
