Avery Suhay is a passionate cello instructor based in the Hampton Roads area, offering personalized cello lessons for students of all ages and skill levels. At Avery Suhay Cello Lessons LLC, the focus is on fostering a love for music and helping each student reach their musical goals through dedicated, one-on-one instruction.
Background and Experience
Avery is a graduate of Old Dominion University (ODU), where he earned both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Cello Performance and Music Education. With over 6 years of experience teaching cello through local shops and private lessons, Avery has worked with students of all ages, from beginners to advanced musicians.
As a performer, Avery has performed with notable ensembles such as the Virginia Symphony, Symphonicity, the ODU Symphony, Primavera Strings, and the Col Vita String Quartet, among others. Avery brings a wealth of experience from these performances into each lesson, teaching students how to apply real-world musical experience to their playing.
